About the event
Hello All! We are going to understand, what is Modulation in Music, Why Modulation and how many types of Modulation we can do? and more! Join the Workshop to Learn more!
We are going to understand the following:
- Chromatic modulation: Uses sharps or flats (accidentals) to move chords from one key to another.
- Parallel modulation: Changes the mode of the chord while keeping the same tonic.
- Chain modulation: Uses the Circle of Fifths to slowly transition between keys.
- Key modulation: Shifts key signatures without a transitionary element, usually between keys that are similar.
- Altered common tone modulation: Used to modulate to distant keys that don't have common chords.
- Scale modulation: Combines harmonic, melodic, and key relationships.
- Transitional modulation: Begins with a series of II-7 V7s that don't resolve.
