Organised by NMAG India under the Ear Training Program of the Musicality Evaluation Examination (MEE) Board of Music, in association with NIOPS (NMAG India Online Programs)

The Ear Training Workshop on Chords Recognition is designed to deepen students’ musical perception and enhance their listening accuracy by focusing on the recognition and identification of chords through guided ear training practice. As part of the Ear Training Program curated by the MEE Board of Music, this workshop offers a structured learning pathway that develops essential skills needed for melodic analysis, harmonic understanding, and confident performance.

Through interactive sessions, participants will explore:

• Chord Qualities and Structures – Understanding the sound character of major, minor, diminished, augmented, and seventh chords.

• Progression Recognition – Identifying common harmonic progressions in classical, contemporary, and popular music.
