MEE GRADE EXAMINATION 2024-2025
To all students appearing in the MEE Grade Examination 2024-2025, the following details and instructions are hereby announced:
Examination Date:Â 28th December 2024
Venue:Â Belur Public Library Hall
Examination Schedule:
Theory Examination:
Time: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Duration: 80 minutes
Ear Training Examination will be conducted alongside the Theory Examination.
Break Time: 12:00 PM - 12:45 PM
Practical Performance Examination & Sight Reading Examination:
Start Time: 1:00 PM onwards
Order of Performance:Â First come, first serve basis
Important Instructions:
Registration:
Registration Desk will open at 9:30 AM.
Registration Cards will be emailed to the registered email IDs.
Students must bring a photocopy of their Registration Card to gain entrance.
Entry:
Each student is allowed only one guardian.
Guardians must carry a verified ID proof (Aadhar Card/Voter ID Card).
Examination Requirements:
Students must carry the following:
Clipboard
Black dot pen
Water bottle
Instruments:
Keyboard/Piano candidates are exempted from bringing their own instruments.
All other candidates must bring their own instruments.
Rules for Offline Theory Examination (MCQ-Based)
Before the Examination:
Reporting Time:
Candidates must report to the examination venue 30 minutes before the scheduled start time for identity verification and seating arrangements.
Mandatory ID Proof:
Candidates must carry their Registration Card issued by the MEE Board of Music-affiliated schools. Entry will not be allowed without this card.
Prohibited Items:
Mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators (if not permitted), notes, and any other electronic or unauthorized devices are strictly prohibited.
Possession of such items will lead to disqualification.
Stationery:
Candidates must bring their own pens, pencils, and erasers. Sharing of materials during the examination is not allowed.
During the Examination:
Question Papers and Timing:
The examination will be MCQs-based and will have a duration of 2 hours.
Candidates must remain seated and cannot leave the hall within the last 30 minutes of the examination.
Silence and Behavior:
Silence must be maintained at all times. Any communication with other candidates is strictly prohibited.
Submission:
Submit the answer sheet to the invigilator before leaving the hall. Candidates will be allowed to carry the question paper after submission of the answer sheet.
No Cheating or Misconduct:
Any form of malpractice, including copying or seeking help, will result in immediate disqualification and reporting to the MEE Board of Music.
After the Examination:
Exit Protocol:
Candidates must leave the hall quietly after submitting their answer sheets. No discussions are allowed inside the hall.
Rules for Practical Examination
Before the Examination:
Reporting Time and Entry:
Candidates must report to Belur Public Library Hall, 1st Floor, Belur Bazar, Belur, Howrah by 1:00 PM on 28th December 2024.
Entry to the hall will begin at 1:00 PM.
Mandatory ID Proof:
Carry the Registration Card issued by the MEE Board of Music-affiliated schools for verification.
Required Materials:
Bring any personal musical instruments or tools as instructed (e.g., guitar, drumsticks, etc.). Ensure all equipment is in proper working condition.
Dress Code:
Wear appropriate attire as per the guidelines, ensuring comfort and practicality for your performance.
During the Examination:
Instructions from the Examiner:
Listen carefully to the instructions provided by the examiners. Perform all tasks as directed.
Performance:
Perform all pieces independently. External assistance or reference during the practical is not allowed.
Handling Equipment:
Handle all instruments and equipment with care. Any damage due to negligence will result in penalties.
Time Management:
Complete your performance and associated tasks within the time allocated.
After the Examination:
Submission of Reports:
Submit any required documentation, such as observations or feedback forms, to the examiner before leaving.
Exit Protocol:
Leave the hall only after receiving clearance from the examiner. Maintain silence to avoid disturbing others.
General Guidelines for All Examinations
Behavior and Discipline:
Candidates must maintain decorum and respect towards invigilators, examiners, and fellow candidates. Any misconduct will lead to immediate disqualification.
Health Protocols (if applicable):
If health protocols are in place, such as during a pandemic, ensure compliance with masking, hand sanitization, and social distancing rules.
Consequences of Rule Violations:
Breach of any rules, including cheating or misconduct, will result in:
Disqualification from the examination.
Reporting to the MEE Board of Music for further disciplinary action.
Emergencies:
Inform the invigilator or examiner immediately in case of a medical or other emergency during the examination.
By participating in the examination, candidates agree to abide by all rules and regulations as set forth by the MEE Board of Music and NMAG India. These guidelines are established to ensure fairness, transparency, and a smooth examination process.
